Install Reel Keeper from the Chrome Web Store. Once installed, the extension is active by default — no setup required. You'll see an ON badge on the extension icon.
Click the Reel Keeper icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the popup. Use the toggle switch to enable or disable background playback. When toggled, all Instagram tabs will reload automatically to apply the change.
Instagram occasionally changes how their site works. Try refreshing the Instagram tab or reinstalling the extension. If the issue persists, please contact me using the form below.
